Mexico

As some of you may know, I just came back from a week-long Mexico trip. Here are some highlights:

Things I did:
Snorkeling & Booze Cruise
Para-sailing
Horseback riding
Sightseeing cruise
Timeshare presentation
Spa
Slept
Eating lots of seafood, lobster especially
Read some
Relaxing

Highlight: El Squid Roe
El Squid Roe (http://www.elsquidroe.com/) is a great party bar in Cabo San Lucas. It's like every frat party and college bar I've ever been to, rolled into one place and then glitzed up with a bunch of neon lights. There are lots of funny(/corny) signs on the walls, jello shot girls who fondle you with each shot purchased, creepy old man party DJ, and a crazy eclectic selection of music. We went there twice and one on occasion, the play list included "Sweet Home Alabama", "Staying Alive", "Shout!", and "In Da Club" among others. Good times had by all.

Highlight: Tequila
Tequila, so I've learned, is a slow acting alcohol. You can go home after drinking straight shots and margaritas feeling fine. Even still be totally upright and conscious going to sleep. Only after waking up will you realize that the previous night is a total blur. Where are my pants?

Highlight: Wonder Years
I saw Fred Savage. We were at Lorenzillo's (http://www.lorenzillos.com.mx/cabos/index.html), which by the way is a great lobster restaurant, and saw a big dinner party where everyone was introducing themselves to some guy named Fred who was getting married. I look over and see some smallish man with curly brown/black hair. Then I hear his voice and I put it all together. It was Fred Savage. Apparently he's getting married or something. I don't know what it is about celebrity, but it just makes me act different. I have no particular feeling towards Fred Savage. I liked his shows (Wonder Years, Working), but I don't particularly have any need to talk to him or acknowledge him in any way, but I just couldn't turn away. And it was strange to see him in Cabos, but see Sammy Hagar in Sausalito. Weird.

Highlight: Beaches. Warm, empty, beautiful, beaches.
Beaches everywhere, and not crowded at all. Amazing.

Highlight: Pueblo Bonita Pacifica (http://www.pueblobonito.com/)
So nice. All the rooms have great views. Service was great. Spa was amazing. The only qualm I have is that the concierges did not always contract with the most reliable of activities companies.

Lowlight: CaboWabo is full of old white people who should not be drinking and dancing

Lowlight: Sat through a 3 hour timeshare presentation.

Overall, lots of fun.

You rode on a horse?

I need photographic evidence before I can accept that claim.
